It's likely no surprise that there are tons of things to do if you're living in or visiting the downtown core of Toronto. This is the largest city in Canada and is at the centre of the country's entertainment and business ventures. But if you've just moved to this area than you might be a little overwhelmed at just how much is packed in to a relatively small space. You can find a place to get new dental veneers, Toronto attractions, and hundreds of workplaces just in a few blocks. Here are some of the main sites to see in the downtown core of the city.

From Greektown on the Danforth to Chinatown on Spadina, you will find all kinds of different neighbourhoods when exploring downtown. Some of them are within walking distance of each other and you can spend a summer day away from making adhesive name tags or working in a shop to browse through independent stores and eat at some of the city's best restaurants with food from around the world. And then there are others that are a little more hidden in the city. These are sometimes some of the best, as they are less popular with tourists visiting the city.

When you're living in a city you tend to steer away from the attractions that people come from all over the world to see. In Toronto that means things like the CN Tower, the ROM, and the AGO. But just because you're working in Toronto bookkeeping opposed to being from the other side of the globe that is no reason not to miss these great attractions. There is definitely a reason why these places have attracted millions of visitors over the years.

While Toronto does not have a physical theatre community the way that New York City does with dozens of theatres all a few blocks from each other, this is the third largest English-speaking theatre district in the world. There is certainly something that will interest everyone from an English professor to a person who drives a Mississauga airport limo. And if theatre's not your thing there are also a number of concert venues, big and small, throughout downtown where you can experience everything from jazz to hard rock concerts live each night.

Toronto might be the largest city in Canada but for the people who live in Toronto condo listings and standalone homes it can still feel like a pretty small place. You will likely find everything that you need in your own neighbourhood and have regular places where you hang out. But that doesn't mean that you shouldn't get out and explore every once in a while. You likely will be happy that you did.
